Design Within Reach - SoHo

Design Within Reach SoHo maximizes retail square footage by developing a solution that would connect the existing ground floor retail space with the basement level stock room that is reclaimed additional retail space. To unify the two distinct spaces, a grand stair to physically connect the upper and lower level. The two spaces are further visually connect the spaces by means of two design features. The first is a ceiling fixture that extends from the storefront entrance at ground level and follows the stairwell through to the basement level. Next, The Ceiling feature is also enhanced by the lighting cloud that acts as a visual guide.
